Trout Fishing
Trout Fishing is very popular in the southern states of Australia, particularly Tasmania and also in New Zealand. Fly Fishing is practiced on both rivers and lakes generally between October and May although there are localized variations to the seasons.
Lake and river Fly Fishing in the highland region of Tasmania is not to be missed with over 3000 lakes available and one of the best trout fisheries in the world. There are mostly but not exclusively Rainbow Trout in the highland areas. The lowland rivers are also popular Brown Trout Fishing places in Tasmania
New Zealand's clean green image and its isolated location makes it an absolute pleasure for Fly Fishing. Even if you don't catch a fish on a given day you will just revel in being surrounded by such spectacular scenery. Whether it is chasing a big Rainbow Trout in a placid blue lake in the North Island or stalking a wily Brown Trout in a mountain stream surrounded by soaring snow capped mountains in the South island. If you are like me, you cannot get enough of Trout Fishing in New Zealand.
All of our Fly Fishing adventures include unique usually dedicated fishing lodges mostly in waterfront locations. They feature excellent hospitality with chef prepared dining being a feature. The guides are all resident locals who love their Trout Fishing and will delight in teaching you how to get onto the fish. Their knowledge and experience will definitely increase your catch rate.
